Run a Charity Soccer Tournament

Launched in 2007, Lose The Shoes aims to mobilize students in the fight against AIDS through barefoot, charity soccer tournaments. Proceeds from LTS events benefit Grassroot Soccer’s HIV prevention work in sub-Saharan Africa. In 2007, the campaign reached 2,000 students at 14 college and 13 high school campuses, raising over $35,000. LTS tournaments unite athletes and activists, blending fun, service, and AIDS awareness. We’re currently looking for campuses to get involved for the Spring 2008 campaign. We’ve got all the tools you need to run a successful tournament.

All proceeds benefit Grassroot Soccer’s International HIV Prevention Program. GRS uses the power of soccer in the fight against AIDS in Africa, empowering youth with the knowledge, support, and life-skills they need to live HIV-free.
