Having a place for all of us revolution seeking people is great. We can gauge how cohesive the movement is; we can share ideas about how to further our causes; we can immerse ourselves in the routes to true freedom and democracy. But this can also be a big problem…
If we all feel at home with like-minded people, we might ignore the majority of people who only have a glimpse of the ongoing destruction and deceit, the people who are stuck in the deadened mainstream media, but don’t quite realize the extent of the propaganda; the people who grimace at our immoral, bellicose government but aren’t angered enough to delve deeper simply because they haven’t been exposed to many marginalized facts. Sitting and planning in a room doesn’t do anyone any good if more people aren’t willing to go along with it.
This is a good headquarters, but we must, must engage others in conversation, blogs, emails, and whatever else. We’ve got to find conservative blogs and refute every argument they give. Not for the people arguing, they’re usually too far ingrained in the ideology, but for the moderates out there who might otherwise be convinced by their rhetoric. Some local Fox news stations have websites and blogs, a good chance to develop logical argumentation skills and expose people to alternative viewpoints. It can be incredibly frustrating when homegrownpatriot62 can’t seem to understand how warrant-less searches are unconstitutional, and how CO2 does indeed warm atmospheres, but remember – someone out there is reading your writing, someone is thinking to themselves… what else is out there? Let’s get out there, let’s penetrate through the brick wall of illusion, show some people just how ugly the truth really is, and invite them to the our revolutionary party.
