The New Sudan Education Initiative (NESEI) is a partnership between Southern Sudanese and a global network of friends, who are uniting the Diaspora to bring the gift of education home to Sudan to ensure a lasting peace.

NESEI will build 20 secondary schools with regular secondary curriculum. Among these schools however, there will specialty academies, which will focus on special areas to accommodate the older students who are ready to use their skills upon graduation. Among these there will be the New Sudan School of Health Sciences, New Sudan School of Agriculture, New Sudan School Commercial School, New Sudan School of Education, and New Sudan School of Government and International Relations.

NESEI is sending 1,000 girls to school in southern Sudan in 2008. To make this possible, we need your help. NESEI is an NGO founded by former Sudanese refugees who believe education is the most important path to rebuilding their country. Sudan currently has the lowest access to education in the world. This year, with your help, we can change that.
